Any
sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia. Most often, chlamydia
occurs in adolescents and young adults (ages 15-24) who have new or multiple
sex partners and who do not consistently use condoms or other barrier
contraception.
Because
approximately 75 percent of women and 50 percent of men have no symptoms, most
people infected with chlamydia are not aware of their infections and may not
seek health care. If males have symptoms, they may include urethritis (itching
and/or burning on urination) and discharge from the penis in small or moderate
amounts. If females have symptoms, they may include vaginal discharge and
painful urination.
If a
person is not treated for chlamydia, complications may occur. Women frequently
develop pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). PID can cause infertility (not being
able to get pregnant), chronic pelvic pain, tubal pregnancies, and the
continued spread of the disease. In men, untreated chlamydia can cause urethral
infection and complications such as swollen and tender testicles. Chlamydia
infection during pregnancy may result in premature rupture of membranes,
preterm delivery and possible tubal pregnancy in a small percent of women. In
addition, chlamydia can cause conjunctival (eye) and pneumonic (lung) infection
in the newborn. Persons with a chlamydia infection have an increased chance of
getting other infections such as gonorrhea or HIV.
In
western medicine, the doctors always use antibiotics in treating this disease.
However, antibiotics have the
features of drug resistance. If your antibiotics intake is more and more, the
effects will be worse and worse. In another words, chlamydia can hide and
survive in the process of treatment, causing the recurrence of chlamydia. So
the patient may not get recovery from the root and will still have stinging and
pain in urethra caused by chlamydia. As for the infected eyes, it is because
that his eyes touched the infected chlamydia fluid. So the timely and effective
treatment is very important except antibiotics.
While Wuhan Dr. Lee, who is
skilled in male reproductive and urinary diseases from Wuhan Dr. Lee's TCM
clinic, said that the result is not surprised. It is because that his chlamydia
did not get completely cured, which may be a reason of antibiotics drug
resistance. In fact, the sign of recovery for chlamydia is that patients do not
have any symptoms anymore and their test results shows negative all along after
several times retest.
So if antibiotics
cannot cure chlamydia totally, the herbal medicine Diureticand anti-inflammatory pill will be a wise choice. The medicine can kill
most of the bacteria and virus, even the pathogens like chlamydia and
gonorrhea, killing chlamydia from the root causes. Besides, this herbal pill
also includes the ingredients like Soapstone and Red flower to help activate
the circulation of blood and promote Qi, releasing the stinging and pain in
urethra gradually and continually.
